AGREE Reporting Checklist

The AGREE Reporting Checklist is intended to assist practice guideline developers to improve the completeness and transperacy of reporting in practice guidelines. The checklist can also provided guidance to peer reviewers, journal editors, and guideline users about the essential components of a high-quality practice guideline.

The checklist maintains the AGREE II's structure of six quality domains and its 23 key items, providing a systematic and logical process for reporting essential information. For each of the 23 items, a summary statement and a bulleted list of specific reporting criteria are provided.

Prospero Systematic Review Registration

PROSPERO accepts registrations for systematic reviews, rapid reviews, and umbrella reviews. PROSPERO does not accept scoping reviews or literature scans. Sibling PROSPERO sites register systematic reviews of human studies and systematic reviews of animal studies.

PRISMA Systematic Review Checklist

The PRISMA extension for searching was published in 2021. The checklist includes 16 reporting items, each of which is detailed with exemplar reporting and Rationale.

Systematic Review Accelerator

The Systematic Review Accelerator (SRA) is a suite of automation tools, purpose-built to speed up multiple steps in the systematic review (SR) process. SRA tools assist with many steps of a systematic review, including searching for citations, citation screening and write-up of review findings, among others. Existing tools are being continuously reviewed and refined, and additional tools are being developed. The SRA tools are freely available for anyone in the world to use.

Cochrane Handbook

The Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions is the official guide that describes in detail the process of preparing and maintaining Cochrane systematic reviews on the effects of healthcare interventions. All authors should consult the Handbook for guidance on methods used in Cochrane systemtic reviews. The Handbook includes guidance on the standard methods applicable to every review (planning a review, searching and selecting studies, data collection, risk of bias assessment, statistical analysis, GRADE and interpreting results), as well as more specialized topics (non-randomized studies, adverse effects, complex interventions, equity, economics, patient-reported outcomes, individual patient data, prospective meta-analysis and qualitative research).
