Course Description

Evidence-based clinical practice guidelines are based on well-done systematic reviews while assessing the certainty of evidence and balancing benefits and harms to patients’ values and preferences. Such guidelines are considered trustworthy and can be used by the clinicians to provide the highest quality of patient centered care in their practices. The ADA has published clinical practice guidelines on non-pharmalogical behavior guidance and on pulp therapies in primary and permanent teeth. The sessions will explore the evidence-based management of an at-risk pediatric dental patient and evaluate in-depth the basis and interpretation of the evidence-based findings for various therapies.
