For safety and security purposes, all attendees and guests must be registered for AAPD 2024 to attend social events. 

Bus transportation will be available to the Welcome Reception and President's Farewell Dinner from the Westin, Fairmont, Delta, Intercontinental, and Sheraton hotels. Additionally, bus transportation will be provided to the MTCC from the Westin and Sheraton during event hours. Check the app for the full schedule.

AAPD & AAPD Foundation Welcome Reception

Welcome to the 6ix! AAPD is thrilled to host the 2024 Welcome Reception at Rebel Entertainment Complex in the vibrant city of Toronto. Get ready for an unforgettable evening filled with non-stop excitement, carefully curated for guests of all ages!

Rebel Entertainment Complex offers a unique and extravagant entertainment space, setting the stage for a truly one-of-a-kind experience. With breathtaking views of Toronto’s cityline, you will not want to miss the opportunity to stop and take a picture by the water. The main room features an expansive stage, state-of-the-art lighting, and audio-visual setup. The world-renowned Canadian rock sensation, Barenaked Ladies, will perform a high-energy show that will have you singing and on your feet! 

Additionally, 40,000 sqft. of a private soccer dome and authentic volleyball courts with a variety of activities for the kids to enjoy! We assure you it is an endless night of entertainment, promising to keep both parents and children engaged throughout the entirety of the event.

Secure your spot at the Welcome Reception in your attendee portal and make it a night to remember. Tickets are limited and wristbands are required. Wristbands for Welcome Reception will not be sold at the venue so please stop by Registration to purchase or pick them up before 5 PM Friday. 

Ground Transportation

  • Shuttles will begin boarding for the Welcome Reception from each AAPD hotel at 6:00 PM.

Boat Transportation

  • We will also be having boat transportation as an option this year. 
  • Two large boats will be departing at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM from the Westin Harbour Castle, 207 Queens Quay West (at the foot of York St.), just a short 5-minute walk straight west from the Westin.
  • Boarding begins 30 minutes before each departure.
  • Each boat can fit approximately 500 people and are first-come-first-serve. Shuttle buses will be running all night to and from the hotels.

*Misplaced or lost wristbands must be repurchased, with no exceptions. Subject to availability.
