Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentistry 2019 Spring CE meeting
The Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists welcomes Dr. Jasjot Sahni as our guest speaker on April 5, 2019. Her lecture titled "Understanding TMD Issues in the Pediatric Population" will take place at the East Bank Club, from 8am - 12pm followed by lunch/business meeting. We look forward to seeing you this spring for this informative discussion.
Dr. Jasjot Sahni is one of the few and leading TMJ specialist in Chicagoland area. She has completed 2-year residency in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine from the University of Southern California. Dr. Sahni is also full-time faculty at University of Illinois Chicago and works in an OMFS private practice.
Dr. Sahni is specialized to provide diagnosis and treatment for TMJ disorders, facial pain and headaches, burning mouth syndrome, neuralgias, bruxism, bad breath, sleep disordered breathing, oral mucosal lesions and oral cancer detection. Dr. Sahni is Diplomate of the Board of Orofacial Pain (ABOP). She is board eligible for the American Board of Oral Medicine (AAOM) and American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Her treatment methodology utilizes non-surgical and minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Sahni is committed to focus her career on improving the patient's life through better pain and sleep management. During her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Title: Understanding TMD Issues in the Pediatric Population
OBJECTIVES:
- Differential diagnosis and evaluation of Pediatric patients with TMD issues.
- Understanding the basics of management strategies.
- Assessment of TMD issues in correlation with Orthodontics.
- Discussion of Cases and pertinent literature studies in relation to the cases
- Brief Discussion of other Orofacial Pain conditions such as Neuropathic pain, Sleep apnea contributing to Orofacial Pain in Pediatric population.
NOTE:
There will be a-hands on afternoon laser course with Solea following lunch. When registering for the meeting, please indicate if you will be attending the afternoon session as well.
