Specially trained to treat the dental developmental needs of children and adolescents, pediatric dentists are able to detect dental and oral health problems that can affect normal development of the jawbones, muscles, and teeth. Requirements for a pediatric dentist include extensive training beyond dental school through a program accredited by the American Dental Association.

Dr. Hanna is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. He has completed the highest level of professional examination in the profession. This is a voluntary accomplishment, which only a small percentage of pediatric dentists choose to complete. Dr. Hanna is on staff at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and is a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine.
