Description
The Program in Pediatric Dentistry is based at the Episcopal Campus of Temple University Hospital. The opening of Temple University Hospital’s Medical Center compliments this program’s academics, as well as providing the resident with comprehensive rotations in pediatric anesthesia and emergency medicine; plus an even more extensive patient base in treating children with special needs. Additionally, approximately 2,000 hours of each resident’s program is devoted to patient care in the pediatric dental clinic. This program, established in 1995, was reaccredited with commendation for diverse and caring faculty on April 14, 2004, by the ADA Council on Dental Education. Upon completion, the resident receives a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and meets eligibility requirements for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry examination.
