Program Length and Number of Positions
This is a 24-month program beginning July 1st. Four new positions will be offered each year.
Program Type
University-based postgraduate program leading to a Professional Certificate with an optional Master’s Degree (MS) or Master’s of Science in Dentistry (MSD).

Description
The program provides advanced training in all phases of pediatric dentistry with an emphasis on patient care skills, including the full spectrum of management. Options: hospital, surgery center, clinic, with and without general anesthesia or sedation. Upon completion of the program, the student receives a Certificate and /or Master’s Degree (MS) or Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD) Degree in Pediatric Dentistry and meets eligibility requirements for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry examination.
Curriculum
The resident is involved in the treatment of well children and medically or psychologically disadvantaged patients. They participate in general anesthesia, emergency room and pediatric medical rotations, regular clinical care, predoctoral instruction, research and dental care with dental anesthesiologists in the Special Care Dentistry Center.
Program Stipend and Tuition
First- and second-year stipends are currently not available. Tuition for two years is to be determined.
