Description

The UNLV School of Dental Medicine Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry develops outstanding dental specialists through the use of advanced technology, and an integrated curriculum of biomedical sciences, clinical sciences and professional studies. Residents participate in research, hospital dentistry, community service, and rotations to multi-disciplinary clinics. The residents' total program time equates to: 25% Didactics, 65% Clinical, 5% Research, 5% Teaching. Our affiliated hospital, The University Medical Center (UMC), provides the Level I Children's Trauma Center, The Children's Hospital of Nevada, and associated pediatric clinics.

Program Stipend and Tuition

Tuition: $30,000/year

Facilities

A 20-operatory pediatric clinic, a 24-bay orthodontic clinic, dental laboratories, affiliated community and tribal clinics, affiliated hospital, and affiliated surgical centers.

Admission Requirements

Applicants may apply through PASS at the ADEA website: http://www.adea.org.When application is made through PASS, no additional application fee will be required. Applications will be accepted through November of each year. Supplemental information should be mailed directly to the UNLV program. This information includes: curriculum vitae, a 2" x 2" color photo, and official college transcripts. These items must be received for an application to be complete. Selected applicants will be invited for interviews. Applicants must be eligible for Limited Licensing in the state of Nevada. Following acceptance, a $1,000 non refundable deposit is required to reserve a position. This deposit will be applied to tuition.
