Kids and Dental Health: Rising Costs and Struggling State Programs a Dangerous Mix

Dr. James J. Crall, child advocate and Project Director for the AAPD Head Start Dental Home Initiative, was interviewed by The Fiscal Times about the rising costs of oral health care and struggling state programs.

 

When parents and caregivers shy away from bringing their children to visit the dentist, the expenses not only make a larger dent into their wallets, but affect their oral health much more. Health care reform remains a hot topic and pediatric dentists see fewer patients because of the economy recession
