Brill shared tips to parents and caregivers about how to limit the sugar high for your kids and how to manage the candy in your home during Halloween and the rest of the year. One of the important tips to keep in mind is controlling what kind of sugar your kids get and what form it comes in.

On July 26, Laird Harrison with Medscape Medical News did a feature story telling pediatricians and pediatric nurses how best to meet their patients' oral health needs.
 
There was positive news from the July 11, 2013 mark-up of FY 2014 appropriations legislation by the Senate Labor-HHS-Education Committee. Kristen Finello with Parents.com recently authored an article on the importance of getting regular dental care for your child from a pediatric dentist. She not only defined the amount of training for this expertise, but also provided information on where to find a pediatric dentist, referencing not only our online tool, but the AAPD as well.
