Join AAPD in Celebrating National Brush Day –November 1, 2012

October 24, 2012 02:32 PM

AAPD needs your help. You’ve done so much to help educate your community about the need for proper oral health care for children, but we’re quickly coming upon a critical moment in time to raise awareness—National Brush Day on November 1.

The newly-formed Partnership for Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives, of which AAPD is a part of, was founded on the belief that no child should be in pain, suffer broader health issues or endure the social stigma and lack of opportunity that result from untreated dental diseases and conditions.

Below is a digital media toolkit with messaging and assets available for use on your social media platforms.

We are looking to create a digital media groundswell at noon EST on National Brush Day (November 1). Join our Social Media Day of Action by:

  • Posting the following Tweet at 12:00 EST, November 1: Today is National Brush Day! RT to join us in teaching kids to brush #2min2x a day! #oralhealth
  • Sharing the following Facebook post at 12:00 EST, November 1: Today is National Brush Day! Share this post to join us in teaching all kids and parents the importance of oral health and brushing 2min2x a day!
  • Distributing content on your website, blog, or to your e-mail lists about oral health using this infographic: http://www.aapd.org/assets/1/7/2012NationalBrushingDayInfographic.jpg.

We’ve also included draft social media messages for your possible use. Thanks in advance for helping us to make this National Brush Day successful!
