Active ($590)

  1. Complete the formal application and send it with an application fee of $100 (U.S. currency; not refundable) to the AAPD headquarters office.
  2. Submit a copy of a certificate or degree in the specialty of pediatric dentistry from a program approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
  3. List two (2) AAPD members as references on the application form.
  4. Student members of the AAPD whose applications for Active membership are received on or before Dec. 31 in the same year as completion of their pediatric dental program do not pay an application fee. Also, first-year membership dues are waived, and second- and third-year dues are reduced 50 percent.
  5. Applicant is responsible for the current annual dues prorated by the number of months remaining in the billing year from the date of acceptance of membership.
  6. Privileges
    • Vote on all issues brought before the General Assembly.
    • Hold office and serve on councils/committees.
    • Attend the AAPD Annual Session.
    • Receive copes of all general membership communications and publications.
 

International ($330)

  1. Complete the formal application and send it with an application fee of $50 (U.S. currency; not refundable) to the AAPD headquarters office.

    • Elect an Affiliate representative to serve as a full voting member of the AAPD Board of Trustees.
    • Attend the Annual Session of the AAPD.
    • Serve on councils/committees, but not vote in the General Assembly or hold office in the AAPD.
    • Receive copies of all general membership communications and publications.
    • Attend and participate in all AAPD continuing education opportunities.
    • Note: Affiliate members may not use the AAPD name, membership status or logo, or imply special expertise or training in pediatric dentistry.
 

Allied ($147.50)

  1. Complete the formal application and send it with the application fee of $50 (U.S. currency non refundable) to the AAPD headquarters office.
  2. List two professional colleagues as references on the application form.
  3. Privileges
    • Attend the annual session of the Academy.
    • Receive copies of all general membership communication and publications.
    • Note: Allied members may not use the Academy name membership status or logo.
 

Friends ($295)

  1. Complete the formal application and send it with the application fee of $50 (U.S. currency non refundable) to the AAPD headquarters office
  2. List two professional colleagues as references on the application form.
  3. Privileges
    • Attend the annual session of the Academy.
    • Receive copies of all general membership communication and publications.
    • Note: Friends of Pediatric Dentistry may not use the Academy name membership status of logo.
 

Predoctoral Student ($27)

  1. Complete the formal predoctoral application and send it with annual dues of $27 (U.S. currency; not refundable) to the AAPD headquarters office.
  2. Privileges
    • Attend the annual session of the Academy.
    • Receive copies of all general membership communication and publications.
    • Attend and participate in all AAPD continuing education opportunities.
 

Postdoctoral Student 

  1. Complete the formal postdoctoral student application and send it to the AAPD headquarters office.
  2. Privileges
    • Attend the annual session of the Academy.
    • Receive copies of all general membership communication and publications.
    • Attend and participate in all AAPD continuing education opportunities.
 
 

International Student - $25

  1. Complete the formal International application and send it with annual dues of $25 (U.S. currency; not refundable) to the AAPD headquarters office.
  2. Privileges
    • Attend the annual session of the Academy.
    • Receive copies of all general membership communication and publications.
    • Attend and participate in all AAPD continuing education opportunities.
 

Transfer of Membership

  1. Complete the formal application, indicating the new category of membership, and send it to the AAPD headquarters office.
  2. An application fee is not required for current members changing classification of membership; the current annual dues are required upon approval.

Reinstatement of Membership

  1. Complete the formal application and send it with required $50 reinstatement fee. Upon approval, applicant is responsible for full amount of current annual dues payment.
