Reneida E, Reyes D.D.S., M.P.H., is a graduate of Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She received her pediatric dental training at the Children’s Hospital of Boston and Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Reyes also received a Masters in Public Health degree from Harvard School of Public Health in the area of Maternal and Child Health Studies.
Professionally, Dr. Reyes has been actively engaged in organized dentistry with a strong focus on children’s oral health having served as Chair of the Oral Health Committee of Second District Dental Society since 1986 and State chair of National Children’s Dental Health Month for New York State Dental Association establishing the Sugarless Wednesday Program which received National recognition from American Dental Association (ADA) as a Recipient of the Golden Apple Award in 2007. As past President of the Second District Dental Society, she has served as an ADA delegate, including service as chair of the Reference Committee on Education and Related matters, in addition to her service on the Council on Membership.
As past chair of the Advisory Council for New York City College of Technology department of Dental Hygiene, Dr. Reyes has incorporated Give Kids a Smile Program into the Community Public Health curriculum and access to care protocol including community outreach program at the Central Branch of the Public Library incorporating the New York Masons Child Identification Program (CHIPS). She has been Section Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at New York Methodist Hospital Division of Dental Medicine-New York Presbyterian Network since 1997.
