Donors' Circle Reception

The Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Donors' Circle reception honors those individuals that support HSHC at the $25,000 President's Circle level or above. This year the Fire-themed reception took place on Saturday, May 23rd at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Roof Top Garden. Guests were treated to an occasion of laughter and gratification, while enjoying cocktails and dinner. As a surprise treat, a fire and sword throwing performance entertained guests.

The support of our donors is instrumental in order for the AAPD to achieve its vision of optimal oral health care for all children. Your gifts enable Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children to put children's oral health first by supporting service, education, research and policy development. This year we were honored to initiate and pin five donors into the following Circles.

President's Circle - $25,000 gift level and above

Dr. John Hendry
Dr. Kyle House
Dr. and Mrs. Paul Kennedy, III

Diamond Circle - in kind gifts valuing $25,000 and above

Dr. Rhea Haugseth
Dr. Heber Simmons

In a surprise act of kindness, Dr. Lawrence Lipton joined the Gold Circle when he increased his gift to Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children to $50,000! We thank Dr. Lipton for his support and look forward to pinning him in Chicago 2010.

Saturday Night Donor Thank You Reception

On Saturday, May 23rd the Coral Ballroom of the Hilton Hawaiian Village was transformed into an ice palace complete with an ice bar, cocktails, appetizers, dancing and more! Over 300 HSHC donors partook in the festivities and celebrated Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children. Paradise Sisters entertained our guests with a variety of songs to dance to ranging from the 1960's to now. Fabulous time was had by all! Thank you to all of our donors and sponsors for their generous support in making a difference to ensure the future of a child's healthy smile!

Auction

This year Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children sponsored a write-in auction located across from the registration area in the Hawaii convention center at the 2009 Annual Session. Generous attendees placed bids throughout the meeting to help raise funds for the Foundation. On Saturday, May 23 the auction came to a close, as Dr. Cavan Brunsden performed an impromptu live auction at the All Donor Thank You Ice Reception. This year the auction raised $18,300 for Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children. We thank all of our auction donors and bidders for supporting Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children!
