First Proposed Dues Increase in a Decade

This will be voted on at the General Assembly in San Antonio. Ten years seems to have flown by in a minute, but think about how much the world has changed (the first iPhone hadn't even been released yet). AAPD has made great efforts to stay current, and continue fighting for children’s oral health. AAPD continues to make advocacy one of its primary goals. In the last ten years, to meet the needs of our members we have added staff positions to grow our services. For example, we have staff solely dedicated coding procedures and educating members on the ACA. The Pediatric Oral Health Research and Policy Center was created to help the AAPD be more effective in the public policy arena by analyzing research data and relevant policy on such issues as Medicaid coverage, non-dental providers and fluoridation. The Mouth Monsters have been added to teach children the importance of good oral health care. AAPD is committed to keeping this high level of service to our members. The dues increase will continue to support your professional needs.
