Course Summary
Are you and you office and staff prepared for a patient
having a sudden medical emergency? A medical
emergency is not only limited to a patient but
could happen to a parent, grandparent or other visitor
to your office. Is your office prepared to respond
quickly to an emergency? This new two-day course
will provide the pediatric dentist and staff with an
update on a variety of emergency medical situations
and procedures.
Each session will offer a review of the more common
disorders and conditions that may arise and how
they may be managed. Hands-on teaching stations will
be included following the lectures.
Objectives
Upon completion, the participant should be able to:

- Prepare the offi ce and staff to handle medical
emergencies.
- Prevent many medical emergencies from occurring
in the offi ce.
- Systematically assess acute medical problems
which may arise.
- Be familiar with current techniques used to
handle the initial management of medical
emergencies.
