Membership Information and Forms

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
There are 6 types of membership: Active, Associate, Affiliate, Life, Student and Honorary.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP
An applicant, to be eligible for election to Active or Associate membership, will have fulfilled all requirements as set forth by the American Dental Association (ADA) for limitation of practice in the area of pediatric dentistry, and, starting July 1, 2001, be an active or international member of the AAPD.

An Active member is an individual who has paid the required dues and resides, practices, teaches or conducts research inside the geographic boundaries of the Society.

An Associate member is an individual who has paid the required dues and resides, practices teaches or conducts research outside the geographic boundaries of the Society.

An Affiliate is an individual whose interests are consistent with the mission of the Society.

A Life member is an individual who is at least 65 years of age and has attended at least 10 Annual Meetings.

A Student member is an individual who is currently enrolled in an accredited dental school or has graduated from a dental school and is engaged full time in a pediatric dental residency.
