8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Joint Education Day
As an adjunct to the 61st Annual Session, the AAPD will be offering the Second Annual Joint Day to be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. This is an opportunity for predoctoral and postdoctoral educators to gather for a shared morning program. Scheduled to be included in the morning portion of the program is a recap of the Dean's Focus Group meeting held in November 2007 and a Title VII Grants Writing Workshop.
Following the luncheon, the Societies of Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Program Directors will each meet with topics specific to predoctoral and postdoctoral education.
Please plan your travel to arrive in Washington on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 so you may attend this program.

12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Graduate Student Lunch & Learn
Graduate students will have a unique opportunity to have lunch with prominent individuals in the specialty. Guest experts in the areas of clinical studies, private practice, and academics/research will be assigned tables for the luncheon. The experts will be available to visit with and answer questions from graduate students about career choices relative to their area.
IMPORTANT: This luncheon is provided at no cost to students, but you must indicate participation on the registration form. Please note that this is a popular event and if you sign up you are expected to attend as there are often people on a waiting list.
