Housing and Hotel Information
You must register for the Annual Session prior to booking your hotel reservation. All housing reservations must be made through the AAPD Housing Services.
Hilton Chicago: Headquarters Hotel
The Hilton Chicago hotel is a landmark downtown Chicago hotel located on historic Michigan Avenue and overlooking Grant Park, Lake Michigan, and Museum Campus. It is only a short distance from Chicago Loop business center, shopping and theatre. The hotel offers more than 1,500 guest rooms fusing historic luxury and contemporary amenities, including wireless internet access in each room.

The Executive Floor is on floors 23 through 25 which includes the specialty suites, mini-suites and upgraded guest rooms. Private check-in and concierge services are available from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily. Continental breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.. Hors d'oeuvres served from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Cookies are brought out at 8:00 p.m. Coffee and refreshments are available throughout the day. Guests on this level receive turndown service and special bathroom amenities.
A new hotel has been added: The Palmer House Hilton. The Palmer House Hilton is an iconic, world-class downtown Chicago hotel and gateway to Chicago's rejuvenated Loop scene. Hotel rates at the Palmer House Hilton are $173 single or double occupancy.

Reservation Deadline
All housing requests must be submitted by April 19, 2010 by 5 p.m. PST in order to receive the AAPD discounted room rate. After April 19, 2010, rooms and rates are subject to availability.
Housing Information
and Change/Cancellation Policies
- Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- All reservations require a one night's deposit. The hotel deposit may be paid with a check drawn on U.S. banks submitted with a form (mailed forms only). Checks should be made payable to OnPeak, not AAPD. Checks for hotel deposits should NOT include registration fees. This deposit will be credited to your first night stay.
- Acknowledgements of reservation request is sent after each reservation form is received/processed, as well as each time a reservation is modified/changed and or cancelled. For online reservation housing, acknowledgement is immediate. For fax/mailed forms, acknowledgement will be sent within two business days of completion of processing. Please review acknowledgements carefully for accuracy. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 14 days of submission, please call AAPD Hotel Services at (866) 772-4405.
- All hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-in (currently 15.4%)
- AAPD discounted room rates are applicable May 25 May 31, 2010, subject to availability.
- Changes and/or cancellations made on or before May 3, 2010, should be made online by accessing your registration/housing record or in writing via e-mail to aapd@onpeak.com.
- All cancellations must be received a minimum of (7) seven days prior to arrival in order to receive a refund of your deposit. No refunds will be given for cancellations within seven days of arrival or for no shows.
- A portion of the room rate is used to offset the expense of housing services.
