AAPD Live Learning Center

Make the most of your educational experience at the 63rd Annual Session and be sure to purchase the AAPD Live Learning Center. Access over 60 hours of Conference Content (as released for inclusion) on digital media — whenever you want it — captured live and available to you online or on CD-ROM via the AAPD Live Learning Center! Now you can view the Conference sessions online as they were delivered — captured as multimedia re-creations with synchronized slides, handouts, and much more. You can even download them as MP3 files to your iPod for portable listening!

Listen to a motivating, informative address, or hear a compelling course you may have missed. This multimedia offering is an excellent training tool and informational resource. Purchase all the courses online as part of your registration for just $95 — that's $100 off the regular on-site price of $195 (online version only, the CD-ROM set is available for purchase onsite) when you register for the conference. After the Annual Session, the price goes to $395, so don't hesitate — order yours now!

To order, see page 41 of the registration form.

ADA

AAPD conferences are ADA compliant. We strive to take the appropriate steps required to ensure that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently. Individuals requiring special assistance must make the appropriate notation on the registration form. All requests for special accommodations under ADA must be made allowing enough time for evaluation and appropriate action by AAPD.

Attire

The Scientific Program is business casual. We recommend you have a sweater or light jacket available in case you find the meeting rooms too cold. The Welcome Reception is casual and the Presidents' Farewell Dinner is semi-formal.

Continuing Education Credit

The AAPD is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider May 2007 – June 2011. Credit is awarded on an hour-for-hour basis. Attendees should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spent in the educational activity.

Internet Access

Visit the Cyber Café located in the Exhibit Hall to check in with your office or your family while at the Annual Session. Please be considerate of your fellow attendees and colleagues and keep your session to a minimum.

Scientific Proceedings

New this year, the Academy is providing the Scientific Proceedings in advance of the Annual Session. Everyone registered by Monday, May 3, 2010, will receive an e-mail with a link to the handouts allowing you to print the handouts you want to bring with you. At the meeting, the proceedings will be distributed on a flash drive during registration which makes it easy to share the scientific proceedings with your colleagues and office staff back at home.

Weather

The average high temperature in May is 70° F and the average low temperature is 50° F. As we say in Chicago: wait five minutes, the weather will change.
