AAPD President’s Opinion on a Two-Tiered Standard of Care for Kids

AAPD President Dr. Rhea M. Haugseth (Ga.) was featured in a Dentaltown Second Opinion column in which she focused against having a two-tiered standard of dental care for children. She focused on the importance of improving the oral health and access to high quality dental services within the context of a Dental Home for those children in need.
“Ask yourself – would you allow your children or grandchildren to be treated by a non-dentist provider with less education and training than a dentist? My guess is the answer to this hypothetical question would be a resounding "No!" said Haugseth.
